If you are an investor and want to gain residence in New Zealand you could consider either one of the two investor categories.

  1. The Investor Plus category is for people who want to invest at least NZ$10 million in New Zealand. If your application for residence under this category is approved in principle you will have 12 months to transfer your investment funds and invest them in an acceptable investment in New Zealand.
  2. The Investor category is for people who want to invest at least NZ$1.5 millions in New Zealand. There is a limit of 300 of these applications per year. The principal applicant also needs to be aged 65 years or younger and have at least 3 years of business experience. If your application for residence under this category is approved in principle you will have 12 months to transfer your investment funds and invest them in an acceptable investment in New Zealand.

In addition to the criteria set out above, each category has additional criteria for the applicant(s) to meet. If you think you qualify for a visa under either investor category, get in touch to have a confidential discussion.
